February 20, 2003, marked a dark chapter in rock history when a tragic incident occurred at The Station nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The American rock band Great White was performing, and what was supposed to be a night of revelry turned into one of the deadliest nightclub fires ever witnessed in the United States. The Station was a popular nightclub situated at the intersection of Cowesett Avenue and Kulas Road in West Warwick. The building that would eventually become The Station was constructed as a gin mill in the '40s.
